Your apprenticeship as a Commercial Employee EFZ Private Insurance starts with us at the headquarters in Basel. Together with other Baloise apprentices and our practical trainers, you will receive an exciting introduction to the world of insurance and get to know the different industries, insurance products, and systems. In the second year of apprenticeship, you will move to a specialist area where you can expand your knowledge and apply it directly in practice. For example, you will learn how to calculate quotes for new insurance policies, adjust contracts, and support our customers by phone and in writing. With this packed backpack of knowledge, you will usually go to the claims department in the third year of apprenticeship. There, you will independently receive damage reports, create claims cases in the system, process them, and check their entitlement to benefits.

In addition to your varied tasks at Baloise, you will attend classes at the vocational school in Basel two days a week. With us, you take the practice with you, and in school lessons, the theory. With additional courses and tutoring sessions , we support you in consolidating what you have learned at school and applying it in practice.

For a commercial apprenticeship at Baloise, you should also meet the following requirements:

• A completed district or secondary school at level E / P or a higher school.
• Your German skills are very good, and you enjoy expressing yourself in writing. In addition, you can communicate in simple words in English and French.
• You can think logically and enjoy working with numbers – you have a good basic knowledge in all school subjects.
• You show openness in dealing with colleagues and customers.
• You have the drive to successfully master even difficult things.
• And of course, you are interested in getting to know the insurance industry.
