The municipal library is part of the Department of Society. It offers the population a modern, low-threshold access to various media, information, and culture. As a meeting place and educational venue, it makes an important contribution to social life in Suhr and continuously develops its offerings to meet the needs of users. We are looking for an engaged personality who enjoys working with people and media. In this versatile role, you will independently take over the lending service and competently and friendly advise our customers. You will be jointly responsible for the procurement and preparation of new media as well as the careful maintenance of our inventory. In addition, you will regularly supervise school classes and actively support the library in public relations, for example through events or media presentations. Your profile
- Completed vocational training
- Training as a Librarian SAB or willingness for part-time training as a Librarian SAB
- Interest in the book and media industry
- Good ICT and social media skills
- Broad general knowledge and very good German skills
- Interesting and varied activity with responsibility
- Well-coordinated, interdisciplinary team
