Have you ever wondered how the water quality of your favorite bathing lake is determined or whether our drinking water is free of pollutants? In your training as a Chemical Laboratory Technician EFZ, you will find out!
You collect and examine environmental samples of waters in the canton of Zurich in the laboratory. Using the latest technology, you identify substances and pollutants and carry out special tests – for example, for pesticides and other micro-contaminants. During your training, you will get to know the waters (rivers, lakes, and more) and the canton of Zurich from a new perspective.
You are currently attending secondary school A and your favorite subjects include mathematics and chemistry/biology. You like to try new things, enjoy new technologies, and work precisely and focused? The Building Department supports you if you want to complete your apprenticeship with a vocational baccalaureate.
Are you ready to take the leap into the working world? At the Building Department, you will complete a varied and solid training and also benefit from an internship at the cantonal training laboratory Zurich.
