About the job
Commodity Group Manager
We have sales and production sites close to our markets in Asia, Europe and America. The headquarters is in Frick - and the central control of our procurement activities also takes place here.
Your knowledge of electronic components is very important to us. To prepare you solidly for the task, we will invest heavily in training during the first few months, e.g. also with practical assignments in assembly, operational purchasing and product training of our various machine types.
Tasks:
- Participation in the implementation of commodity group / procurement targets
- Evaluation, development and support of suppliers in the assigned commodity groups
- Development and maintenance of partnership-based supplier relationships (price, quality, delivery time, flexibility, problem solving)
- Support of stakeholders in procurement-related matters
- Ensuring high availability of materials with the lowest possible capital commitment
- Ensuring market-compliant prices
- Master data maintenance at the planning level, requesting the remaining master data
- Active participation in the global commodity group management and change management measures currently being established
Requirements:
Technical basic training in electronics / electromechanics
- Procurement-specific training or business management further education
- 3 - 5 years of experience as a commodity group manager or strategic purchaser
- Negotiation skills in German and English
- Willingness to travel
- Initiative, independence, high resilience, analytical thinking
- Team player, skilled in dealing with other cultures
