The Bachelor programme in Biomedical Sciences (BMS) has been offered at the University of Fribourg since 2006. For the planning and coordination of the programme as well as for student advising, the Department of Medicine is looking for a programme coordinator.
The coordinator is integrated into the Med-Office of the department and is supported by its secretariat. He or she works under the responsibility of the chairperson of the BMS study commission.

Your tasks
- Coordination and planning of the Bachelor in Biomedical Sciences programme:
- Administrative and scientific support of the study commission
- Planning and organisation of the study programme with various internal and external partner organisations
- Ensuring documentation of the programme and communication between the various stakeholders
- Student advising:
- Conducting information events as well as individual consultations, including for prospective students
- Educational development and support:
- Advising and supporting those responsible for teaching units and lecturers
Desired profile
- Doctorate in a scientific field, preferably biomedicine or biosciences
- Educational training with teaching experience
- Good understanding of the competency-based approach and formative evaluations
- Experience in organising and planning university education
- Autonomous, rigorous and structured working style
- Ability to integrate into team work, with leadership and communication skills
- German and/or French with very good knowledge of the other language (bilingual working environment)
- English skills are required
