The Children’s Hospital Central Switzerland of the Lucerne Cantonal Hospital (LUKS) is one of the largest children’s hospitals in Switzerland and provides care for the entire Central Switzerland region at the highest level. Our staff are committed around the clock to ensuring that children, adolescents and their families are measurably better cared for. We are looking to strengthen our team from 1 December 2026 or by arrangement.

Your area of responsibility

• Together with your team colleagues, you are responsible for the admission, initial assessment and competent and professional care of our paediatric and paediatric surgical emergency patients from Lucerne and Central Switzerland
• The patients include children and adolescents from birth up to 16 years of age – with minor illnesses, minor traumas up to critically ill patients and acute life-threatening situations
• In the interprofessional team, you make an important contribution to patient care at a high quality level
• In your area of responsibility, you work in an interesting and varied therapeutic field of all medical and surgical specialties

Your experience

• Do you have a heart for children and nerves of steel? You like to take responsibility and enjoy facing new challenges; you meet our young patients and their families with appreciation and empathy
• You have completed training as a certified specialist nurse HF/FH and show willingness and interest in completing the postgraduate study to become an expert in emergency care NDS paediatrics within the next 2 years
• You have at least 6 months of professional experience in the acute sector, preferably in the paediatric field
• You are a team player with a strong service orientation and pronounced communication skills, practising your profession with a lot of heart and commitment
