Professorship for Major Jazz Singing and Ensemble (30 – 50%)
University of Music Basel FHNW, Jazz
Your tasks:
The Jazz Institute is one of three institutes at the University of Music Basel FHNW. Students are trained in three degree programmes at Bachelor and Master level.
- You teach the major subject singing as well as thematic ensemble lessons in the Bachelor and Master degree programs
- You supervise students in all study phases and provide both individual and group lessons
- You contribute your interdisciplinary skills and collaborate with the lecturers at the institute on the further development of teaching
Your profile:
- You are an internationally recognised and well-networked artistic personality with excellent didactic skills and experience in higher education teaching
- Within jazz, you are familiar with both traditions and trends as well as the latest developments, and open to other musical styles and art forms
- You have a distinctive profile within your field, are able to inspire students both in vocal-technical and craft skills as well as in artistic and innovative work, and guide them competently
- You hold relevant academic degrees and pedagogical qualifications
- You have a higher education didactic qualification or the willingness to acquire one during the first years.
