About the job

You will work full-time in Zug – with the possibility to also work remotely and the willingness for regular international travel to our locations and suppliers worldwide

• You take overall responsibility for one of the most impactful areas in the Operations Department: With around 27 FTEs in the areas of Direct Material, Indirect Material, Trading Goods and IPO as well as the professional leadership of operational purchasing at our locations in Zug, Sulgen, Changzhou and SIBIR, you shape an organisation that makes a real difference – today and tomorrow
• You develop a cross-site purchasing strategy that is more than just cost optimisation: You consolidate volumes, leverage synergies and create structures that strengthen V-ZUG in the long term – across country borders and procurement categories
• You manage the entire purchasing volume (PVO) and consistently implement MPV programmes – with a clear view of the figures and the ambition to turn data into real impact
• You negotiate strategic contracts and partnerships at the highest level and build an international supplier portfolio that not only works today but also supports tomorrow – stable, flexible and future-oriented
• You lead and develop the team leaders of the respective areas and create a purchasing organisation that acts united, prioritises clearly and delivers together – in close cooperation with Operations, R&D, Finance and Quality
• You anchor sustainability and ESG as a strategic compass in purchasing – because "Swiss made" for V-ZUG means not only quality but also responsibility

• You have a degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management or a comparable discipline – complemented by practical further training in purchasing or management, demonstrating that you continue to develop because you want to
• You bring several years of leadership experience in strategic purchasing – ideally in an international industrial environment where you have not only led team leaders but also built and further developed organisations
• You know global procurement markets inside out: Electronics, metal, plastics, trading goods – you know how these markets work, where the levers are and how to use them. Experience with Asian markets is a real plus
• You have proven success in managing purchasing volumes and MPV programmes – not theory, but lived practice with tangible impact on results
• You think strategically and act with strong implementation. You do not just develop strategies – you convert them into results. Your energy is contagious, your priorities are clear, and you bring things to completion
• You communicate convincingly in German and English – negotiation-secure, clear and with the right sensitivity for intercultural nuances
• You are an inclusive leader with natural authority: supportive, appreciative, but also clear in your statements – a role model you do not play but live
