Specialist in Sports Facility Maintenance, (fixed-term for 6 months)

Tasks

• You ensure that our numerous guests with their diverse demands and needs always feel welcome and comfortable.
• You commission and decommission facilities and support athletes, clubs and organisers in using the facilities.
• You supervise the lively sports operations, enforce our rules of conduct and assist in emergencies to care for our customers.
• You actively participate in the maintenance of the sports hall and carry out maintenance and cleaning tasks.
• You perform simpler administrative tasks and are the contact person for our customers, schools and clubs.

Profile

• A flexible, sports-enthusiastic, friendly and independent personality with a strong service orientation
• Completed vocational training with a Federal VET Diploma (EFZ) and ideally professional experience in the field of sports facilities
• Experience in cleaning and maintenance as well as in handling machines and equipment
• Good German language skills in speaking and writing as well as good communication skills in contact with internal and external customers
• Willingness to work irregular hours, evenings and weekends

About us

The Sports Office is a service department of the School and Sports Department of the City of Zurich. It is the competence centre for sports promotion and provides the sports-enthusiastic population and clubs with sports facilities including indoor and outdoor pools. The organisation of compulsory swimming lessons as well as voluntary school sports are also core tasks of the Sports Office. With targeted information, the Sports Office motivates more physical activity and advises and supports sports organisations.
