As an Input Engineer in the field of document management, you are responsible for the smooth, efficient and secure digitisation as well as the processing and integration of documents into our system landscape. You bring your flair for application integration and your Java skills to specifically further develop our input and document processes. In close collaboration with IT, specialist departments and external partners, you design solutions that accelerate the entire document lifecycle, increase quality and reduce manual effort.
Your tasks
- Planning, installing, configuring and maintaining input and document management solutions (Kodak Capture Pro and DocProStar/OCTO)
- Integrating document management applications into the existing system landscape (interfaces, web services, APIs)
- Analysing and resolving technical issues in the input and processing paths as well as supporting troubleshooting in surrounding systems
- Designing and developing automation and self-service solutions (e.g. for document import, classification, routing) to accelerate the end-to-end process chain
- Further developing and maintaining Java-based components in the document management and system integration environment
- Collaborating with internal agile teams from specialist departments, IT and external partners to develop integrated solutions for customer needs
- Ensuring ongoing operations including monitoring input paths and handling certificates, licences and technical accesses
Your profile
- Completed training and/or further education in computer science, business informatics or a comparable qualification
- Relevant experience in application and system integration (interfaces, web services, APIs) and ideally in the document management environment
- Good knowledge of Java or strong interest in further developing your Java skills
- Knowledge of SQL and scripting languages (e.g. Linux Shell; Python advantageous) as well as familiarity with DevOps principles and agile development methods
- Initial experience with automating build and deployment processes (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD or similar tools) and basic knowledge of cloud and containerisation are advantageous
- You convince with strong analytical skills and a structured, solution-oriented working style
- You score with your enjoyment of teamwork and clear communication
- Very good German and good English skills, both spoken and written
