About the job

The Kantonsschule Aussersihl (KAS) originates from the Hohlstrasse branch of the Kantonsschule Wiedikon, established since the 2024/25 school year. By the 2027/28 school year, it will be founded as an independent secondary school. In this exciting phase of establishment and development, there is an opportunity to actively shape the cultural, organisational, and educational identity of a new Zurich cantonal school.

For the leadership of the Kantonsschule Aussersihl, we are advertising two deputy head positions starting 1 September 2027.


Your responsibilities

As a member of the school management, you will assume pedagogical, personnel, and organisational responsibility for the Grammar School area or the Fachmittelschule (FMS), as well as for other operational areas of the school.

• Participation in the strategic and operational management of the school.
• Responsibility for the implementation and further development of educational offerings in the Grammar School or FMS
• Leadership, support, and promotion of teaching staff
• Ensuring and further developing teaching quality as well as a positive school culture
• Taking on a teaching load

Your profile

You have a university degree, a teaching diploma for grammar schools, many years of teaching experience at the grammar school level, and ideally leadership experience in the education sector. You convince through pedagogical competence, strong communication skills, and goal-oriented work.
