Checkpoint Zurich is a non-profit organisation with a special focus on public health. With around 30 employees, it is one of the largest health centres in Switzerland for men who have sex with men, trans people and other queer people as well as all persons who identify with our community. We offer comprehensive treatment in the fields of infectiology, general internal medicine, psychiatry and psychotherapy. Our services cover prevention, counselling, testing and treatment. In addition, various campaigns, mobile testing and events are carried out. We accompany our clients respectfully and on an equal footing.
What you bring
- First point of contact: You welcome our clients in a friendly and professional manner and are their first contact person at Checkpoint Queer Health.
- Appointment scheduling: You receive appointment requests and reliably enter them into our system.
- Triage: You assess situations correctly, prioritise them and know when which steps are necessary.
- Agenda overview: You keep an overview of the appointment planning and ensure a smooth process.
- Cashiering: You handle the payment of consultations in cash as well as by card payment.
What you bring
- Training: You have completed an apprenticeship as a receptionist, ideally supplemented by training in the health sector.
- Experience: You have at least 1 year of experience in reception.
- Motivation: You are motivated to work in the field of Queer Health and open to all life realities of our clients.
- Solution orientation: You approach challenges pragmatically and solution-oriented.
- Adaptability & initiative: You are flexible in dealing with changing situations and tackle tasks independently.
- Enjoyment of routine: Recurring tasks bring you joy and you perform them reliably and with great care.
- Flexibility in working hours: You are willing to work evenings as well as about 2–3 times a month on a weekend day (1.30 pm to approx. 6.00 pm) and enjoy direct contact with a diverse, colourful clientele.
