Profile
The Intensive Care Medicine service of Sottoceneri consists of the intensive care units of Lugano (16 beds) and Mendrisio (6 beds).
The Intensive Care Medicine service of the Regional Hospital of Lugano is the only department in the Canton recognized by the FMH as a category A training center, awarded for two consecutive years (2014, 2015, and 2019) the prestigious SIWF-Award by the FMH for its special commitment in training.
Essential requirements:
- degree/diploma in medicine and surgery. For doctors with foreign qualifications: recognition by the Federal Commission for Medical Professions MEBEKO and related registration with MedReg are mandatory before starting the activity
- proven knowledge of the Italian language (required level at least B2), with related registration with MedReg before starting the activity, knowledge of another national language and English is desirable
- work experience in intensive care units, internal medicine, or anesthesiology
- strong availability and inclination to teamwork
- constructive and proactive attitude
- proficiency in IT tools
- available to work 6 months in Lugano and 6 months in Mendrisio.
