The City and Regional Library Uster is an innovative, open, customer- and family-friendly library and a third place for the population. Since 2019, we have been pioneers as an Open Library and introduced the 365-day library in 2022, open daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. We want to maintain and strengthen this innovative image.

Librarian / Bookseller 70-80%
Your main tasks
- Loan: counter service, advice, customer assistance
- Collection: care of several media areas
- depending on suitability and interest: participation in the internal IT & technology group, in statistics, in children's activities and class tours
- Projects: collaboration
- other library-specific and administrative tasks
You bring with you
- Training I&D in a public library or training in the book trade or in a library-related field
- good self- and work organization, efficient working method as well as high teamwork skills
- joy in the library as a 3rd place
- strong customer orientation
We offer you
- a position that is also suitable for candidates who have only recently completed their apprenticeship (I&D or in the book trade)
- the opportunity, thanks to your great openness and willingness to learn, to get to know and try out a lot of new things as well as to work independently and take responsibility for your own projects
- a salary in salary class 12 (corresponding to approx. 70,000 – 95,000 CHF gross annual salary for a 100% workload, depending on your age and experience)
