Senior Registrar / Deputy for the Vascular Surgery Department
To strengthen its team, the Heart and Vessels Department (DCV) of the CHUV is seeking, for the Vascular Surgery Department, a senior registrar or deputy senior registrar, at a workload between 80% and 100%, for a start date of 1 November 2026.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the five Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its close collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, it plays a leading role in medical care, research, and education.
The Vascular Surgery Department is a reference centre in advanced medicine and holds official recognition for postgraduate specialist training in vascular surgery. It offers a varied clinical activity, covering the entire spectrum of the discipline.
Mission
- You regularly participate in the care of vascular patients, in elective surgery and emergency situations
- You take part in the surgical programme, including open surgery, hybrid interventions, and endovascular techniques, covering aortic, peripheral pathologies as well as haemodialysis access
- You are involved in pre- and post-operative consultations
- You are engaged in teaching and research, with a particular commitment to the continuing education of junior doctors
- You collaborate in managing the database as well as in the department’s research activities.
Profile
- You hold a federal medical diploma or a title recognised by the Federal Commission of Medical Professions (MEBEKO)
- You are able to work in a team, are committed, and possess good manual dexterity
- You are motivated by the development of the specialty, with a genuine interest in continuing education
- You adopt a collegial attitude and collaborate closely with partners from other specialties and nursing staff
- You have proficiency in French, minimum level B2.
