Building services engineering keeps buildings running – heating, ventilation, sanitation, and electrical systems provide the foundation for modern infrastructure. As a Key Account Manager for Building Services Engineering, you are the commercial contact for our most important customers in the region. With your network in the building services industry and your passion for sales, you actively contribute to further expanding our market position in the German-speaking part of Switzerland – and inspire our customers with solutions that truly fit.
Responsibilities
- You manage our key customers in the building services sector (sanitary, heating, ventilation, and electrical installation companies) in your region and sustainably develop cooperation at all levels
- You are the commercial contact at the head office – from management, project management, and purchasing to warehouse and logistics – you actively develop all relevant contacts
- You identify product range potentials early and position our products and system solutions convincingly, conduct price negotiations independently, and negotiate framework agreements and conditions in coordination with our internal pricing department if necessary
- You develop customised process, logistics, and warehouse solutions (ORSY, availability concepts, construction site logistics) creating sustainable added value for your customers
- As a central hub between customers, internal sales, our building services specialised engineering department, and our project sales staff on construction sites, you ensure smooth, coordinated collaboration
- You actively acquire new decision-makers in the building services sector and deliberately expand your existing network – especially at the project manager and department head level of executing companies
- In tandem with our sales engineer, you jointly develop the project managers of executing companies – aiming to position Würth early in projects, submit offers, and win strategic products such as Varifix rails, pipe clamps, and other system solutions on a project basis
Requirements
- You bring either several years of sales experience or solid technical know-how from the building services sector (sanitary, heating, ventilation/air conditioning, electrical) – both are equally welcome; what matters is that you know the industry and understand how construction projects and procurement processes work
- You have an existing network in the building services sector in the German-speaking part of Switzerland – whether from sales, project business, or a technical role
- You like people as much as numbers and think entrepreneurially and solution-oriented
- You communicate confidently at all levels and convince decision-makers with your appearance, expertise, and personality
- You work proactively, structured, and independently and advance topics with initiative
- You bring humour, positivity, and motivation and are eager to make a difference together with the team
- You have very good German language skills, both spoken and written
We offer
- A key role with high personal responsibility and plenty of scope for creativity
- An exciting and challenging position in a dynamic, growing environment
- Intensive and structured onboarding that prepares you optimally for your role – with practical onboarding, targeted product training, and an experienced team at your side
- A trusting and family-like working atmosphere with flat hierarchies, short decision-making paths, and a pronounced feedback culture to support your personal and professional development
- A competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package (company car for business and private use, flat-rate expense allowance, notebook, fitness contribution, and much more)
