The Rossfeld Foundation educates, supports and accompanies children and young people capable of regular education with physical disabilities.
As an assistant, you support a lively eleven-year-old pupil with a severe physical disability.
A remedial teacher instructs the pupil at home two days a week in the Gürbetal area. During this time, you assist him. On the other two days, you assist on the way to the Special Primary School Rossfeld in Bern (with school transport/taxi) and throughout the entire school day until the return home.
Working days: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. It is also possible to take on only two days (minimum employment 40%).
Working hours: daytime, 4 days during 39 school weeks of the canton of Bern during school hours

Tasks
• Monitoring ventilation
• Administering food and drink
• Blowing nose, suctioning mucus
• Setting up and operating computer
• Transfer to wheelchair
• Accompanying taxi ride
• Support in lessons
• Support in residential group
Requirements
• Independent and responsible
• No fear of contact with medicine and technology
• Empathetic and reliable
• Enjoy working with children in family and school
• Minimum age 19 years
• Interest in nursing, social and educational topics
• Good German skills, spoken and written
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365, iPad OS
We offer
You will find a demanding, exciting and varied work setting with us. Your area of deployment lies in the social and nursing field; you will work during the day at home, in the classroom, in therapies, in the day group and as transport accompaniment. You will work four school days a week. We offer you varied and interesting teamwork with regular working hours as well as internal training. The school holidays correspond to the holiday schedule of the city of Bern.
