Are you wondering how the management of an IT department works? Would you like to gain first experiences in an IT department and understand what project managers, ICT architects, data and application managers accomplish daily in a critical infrastructure? Then you are in the right place. We offer an insight into the IT world of a critical infrastructure starting May 2026. As part of a 12-month internship/trainee program in our Solution department, we will set individual focuses together with you.

Ensure electricity in Switzerland
Our experts cover almost the entire spectrum of IT topics. We take time for you and select a tailor-made internship from the many activities right at the beginning that matches your interests.
Below you will find some examples of fields of activity, which we can also combine if needed:
- Experience what digital transformation really means. Work shoulder to shoulder with experts in IT projects in all phases from ideation, through the minimal viable product to the final solution design and operationalization using classic and agile methods.
- Understand what it takes to successfully further develop, integrate, and operate IT services. Work in IT service management disciplines such as lifecycle management, application management, incident management, continuous improvement, deployment processes via CI/CD, resilience engineering, monitoring/observability, and cyber security. Not only in common systems but also in highly critical and complex OT systems.
- Data is everywhere and the foundation for all information systems. To master it, a whole range of skills is needed. Learn the most important activities and dive deep into the world of data management, data engineering, platform engineering, and machine learning.
- Look over the senior management's shoulder and understand firsthand what leadership work means. Support the department management by creating analyses, strategic documents, and presentations. Organize events and coordinate matrix teams.
This is how you make a difference
Doing is like wanting, just more intense. In this sense, we are looking for a communicative person with an independent, precise, and analytical working style who likes to pitch in and loves finding solutions to challenging problems. If you also bring the following, nothing stands in the way of your start with us:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a similar technical field of study
- Knowledge of at least one programming language (preferably Java, Python, or C#)
- Great interest in shaping the transformation of the energy system
- Basic knowledge in at least one of the above-mentioned activities
- Language skills: very good German and English skills (French is an advantage)
