Accounting Clerk 70 - 80%The Health Directorate of the Canton of Zurich ensures a high-quality and safe healthcare provision. The Finance Department in the General Secretariat is responsible for the financial management of the Directorate as well as accounting. In addition, we are responsible for the area of individual premium reductions (IPV) and review the correct use of allocated state contributions through state contribution audits.
For the department, we are looking for an Accounting Clerk 70 - 80% to start immediately or by arrangement.
Your tasks
- Ensuring the operational day-to-day business in accounting
- Managing the general ledger as well as accounts receivable and payable
- Assisting with interim and annual financial statements including intercompany reconciliations
- Supporting departments with professional questions related to accounting
- Documenting and reviewing processes and controls as well as contributing to their further development
- Actively contributing to projects in the accounting area as well as its further development
What you bring
You have a qualification in accounting, for example as an accounting clerk or a comparable qualification. Even if you are currently undergoing relevant further training, we look forward to your application. In addition, you bring initial to several years of professional experience in accounting and ideally have already gained insight into the closing process.
You work carefully, structured and reliably and like to take responsibility for your area of tasks. Your IT affinity is good and you are confident in using common MS Office applications. Knowledge of SAP FI/CO is an advantage.
You enjoy familiarising yourself with new topics and systems. You think ahead, recognise optimisation possibilities and have an interest in digital and efficient solutions. As a team player, you appreciate working with different stakeholders and communicate clearly and reliably. Experience in public administration or healthcare is a plus but not a requirement.
