Physiotherapist at the University Service of Psychiatry of Advanced Age
The University Service of Psychiatry of Advanced Age of the DP-CHUV is looking for a physiotherapist at 80%, as soon as possible for a fixed-term contract of about 6 months.
Context
The University Service of Psychiatry of Advanced Age (SUPAA) is a specialised service with the mission to guarantee care, teaching and research in the field of psychiatry for the elderly. This mandate is entrusted to it by the Department of Health and Social Action. Over its six decades of existence, SUPAA has diversified its structures and modes of intervention, with the aim of constantly improving its clinical services and maintaining optimal continuity of care, teaching and research. It has thus developed intermediate structures (a day hospital), outpatient services (general consultations in psychiatry of advanced age, participation in memory consultations, trans-age interventional psychiatry), liaison consultations in psychiatry of advanced age at CHUV, in regional hospitals of northern and western Vaud and in nursing homes, as well as mobile teams.
The Department of Psychiatry consists of 10 services addressing the three stages of life. It covers the psychiatric sectors Centre, West and North of the canton. Its mission is the comprehensive and multidisciplinary care of children, adolescents, adults and elderly people suffering from mental disorders. Caregivers provide acute care to patients but also offer outpatient follow-ups and follow-ups in their usual place of residence.
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research and training.
Mission
- You ensure the design and implementation of physiotherapy treatments on medical prescription
- You assess each patient according to a bio-psycho-social approach, in order to establish a personalised physiotherapy diagnosis
- You implement effective, adapted and evidence-based treatments to achieve therapeutic goals
- You manage each patient according to an individualised treatment plan, which you adjust according to clinical evolution
- You comply with institutional protocols, good practice guides and current clinical recommendations
- You participate in a continuous improvement process related to your care and prevention practices.
Profile
- You hold a HES diploma in physiotherapy or equivalent, with SERI, Red Cross or positive PreCheck recognition (mandatory)
- You have at least 2 years of experience, ideally with skills or a marked interest in psychiatry or body approaches in mental health
- You appreciate interdisciplinary collaboration and work with autonomy and rigour
- You demonstrate good communication skills
- You have an interest in rehabilitation, therapeutic relationship and working with specific populations.
