Tox Info Suisse (www.toxinfo.ch) operates the emergency number 145 in Switzerland. Doctors and other medical professionals provide daily, around-the-clock telephone advice on poisonings caused by chemicals, medications, toxic plants, mushrooms or animals, as well as drugs and much more.
At our location, right in the heart of Zurich with our 50 employees, we offer an interesting position and a varied role as a Senior Physician in part-time (50-80%) immediately or by arrangement to a medically skilled, open-minded individual.
The main tasks include:
• Providing 24/7 on-call background services in rotation
o Supporting staff in all questions related to the poison emergency call and clinical toxicology and clinical pharmacology
o Reviewing dispatch reports
o Responding to written enquiries
o Responsible for the functioning and quality of telephone emergency advice
• If suitable: Personnel management of doctors and toxicological advisors
• Participation in the structured induction of new employees
• Writing and quality assurance of internal advisory documents
• Scientific work
• Participation in internal training and external lecturing
The requirements for future post holders are:
• Completed medical studies
• Several years of experience in clinical toxicology and pharmacology
• Advantageous: Specialist in Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology (federally recognised) or specialist in a related field (federally recognised) with experience in Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology or Human Toxicologist GfKT or Clinical Toxicologist GfKT
• Committed, patient-oriented working style and high sense of responsibility
• Scientific interest
• Excellent communication skills in German, French and English, both spoken and written. Knowledge of Italian is an advantage.
