The University Clinic for Forensic Psychiatry and Psychology opens the door to a multifaceted and challenging environment in which you will play a significant role. In our inpatient, day-patient, outpatient and outreach services, we provide professional support for patients with psychiatric disorders, whether in detention or due to court orders. As a medical secretary, you are the link between patients, medical staff and administration.

Your tasks

• You care for our patients in the outpatient clinic
• You manage the daily business (mail correspondence, telephone service), especially in the area of reports (report requests, therapy progress reports, etc.) as well as registrations and enquiries
• You process medical orders including their evaluations and correspond with pharmacies and general practitioners
• You support and relieve our psychologists and medical staff in the outpatient clinic
• You assist in the consultation and liaison service
• You record services including the billing of psychiatric visits in selected regional prisons
• You take on general secretarial and typing tasks, including dictations
• You maintain various filing systems (physical and electronic)
• You work with authorities as well as internal and external stakeholders and communicate professionally with them

Your profile

• You have completed a commercial basic training
• Ideally, you have several years of professional experience in a comparable role
• You have sound knowledge of medical terminology
• You think in a networked way, have a quick grasp and present yourself professionally and friendly
• You work independently, reliably and service-oriented
• You have very good user knowledge of MS Office programmes
• You have confident German language skills in spoken and written form
• Additional language skills are an advantage
