Your Tasks

• Operation of forestry tractor and excavator
• Timber harvesting work in permanent forest management
• All forest work such as: forest maintenance, care of nature reserves, construction and maintenance of footpaths, forest roads, streams, recreational facilities and work for third parties (garden forestry)

Your Profile

• You are a certified Forest Ranger EFZ and hold a driving licence category B and BE
• You work independently as well as in a team, are performance-oriented and connected to nature

About Us

The Office for Landscape and Nature (ALN) fulfils diverse and forward-looking tasks for the Canton of Zurich in the areas of agriculture and forestry, nature and soil protection, sustainable food systems, as well as hunting and fishing.

The Zurich forest is a recreational arena for the population, a habitat for flora and fauna, but also the third largest timber producer in Switzerland. The approximately 40 employees of the State Forest and Training Section in the Forest Department are proud to support and manage the care and use of the forest in the Canton of Zurich.
