Job Description
Summary of responsibilities:
Reporting to the Assistant Director of the Fairmont Spa, the essential responsibilities and functions of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Consistently offering a professional, friendly, and engaging service
- Performing Fairmont Spa treatments according to standards. Particular attention will be paid to technical details and communication with the client for any specific questions regarding a physical or cosmetic issue. Music, voice, tone, lighting, safety, and privacy will be adapted to each client
- Advising clients on the treatment programmes offered by the Fairmont Spa
- Setting up treatment rooms in accordance with standards and organising the necessary stocks for treatments
- Making treatment and product recommendations after each appointment and advising clients in their choices
- Selling Fairmont Spa products (Biologique Recherche, Swiss Perfection Montreux, etc.)
- Maintaining perfect hygiene and cleanliness in the treatment rooms and all care areas
- Participating in daily briefings and following up on client requests
- Keeping a daily report and communicating in the instruction book all special client requests for products, treatments, or maintenance
- Knowing the treatments and products offered at Fairmont Spa
- Completing a daily checklist by treatment area
- Participating in departmental sessions
- Promoting the Spa
- Assisting other Spa departments when Therapy activity is quiet
- Committing to the quality of service, discretion, and absolute honesty
- Maintaining excellent contact with colleagues
- Contributing to the welcoming, integration, and training of new employees
- Ensuring the daily organisation of the treatment area, including participation in inventories, restocking, ordering, tidying, setting up, and maintenance of treatment rooms.
- Following ongoing training according to the evolution of the profession and needs to stay informed about new techniques and equipment
- Respecting all hygiene and safety policies
- Other tasks as assigned
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Recognised Massage Therapist diploma (Massage)
- 1 year of experience in a similar position
- Fluency in French
- Good knowledge of English
- Knowledge of German, Russian, or Arabic is an asset
- Excellent presentation
- Sense of hospitality and sales
- Calmness (manages client complaints and emergency situations)
- Rigour and organisation
- Mastery of various massage techniques and different care techniques
- Knowledge of computer software is an asset (booking, payment techniques, etc.)
- Knowledge of safety rules
- Ability to take initiative
- Adaptability and flexibility
- Good physical condition

To work in Switzerland, the candidate must hold a Swiss work permit or be from an EU-17 or EU-8 European country.
