Territory Manager Cardiology/LAA Occluder - German-speaking Switzerland Region
home-office based, ideal residence in the area
The Territory Manager is responsible for the commercial care and development of all customers within the assigned sales territory. The aim of the position is to promote the use of cardiac occluder products, increase the use of intracardiac echocardiography (ICE), achieve sales targets, and secure and expand market shares. In close collaboration with interventional cardiologists, electrophysiologists, and relevant contacts in clinics, the Territory Manager identifies and develops business opportunities, supports clinical procedures, and contributes to optimising treatment outcomes.
Furthermore, the Territory Manager acts as the central contact for all commercial and technical activities within the responsible sales territory.
YOUR TASKS
- Independent care and development of all assigned customers and clinics in the sales territory.
- Achieving agreed sales targets and expanding market shares.
- Developing and implementing account plans to increase procedures and business growth.
- Conducting commercial negotiations, tenders, and purchasing processes.
- Representing and defending Abbott’s price and value strategy.
- Analysing market and competitor activities and identifying new business opportunities.
- Building and maintaining sustainable relationships with relevant decision-makers and stakeholders.
- Coordinating and supporting local Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
- Promoting the use of intraprocedural imaging solutions, especially intracardiac echocardiography (ICE), and image-guided workflows.
- Providing technical and clinical support during procedures with cardiac occluders for left atrial appendage closure/occlusion.
- Supporting procedure planning, case discussions, and clinical decision-making processes.
- Conducting product, therapy, and application training for physicians and catheter lab teams.
- Being the contact for clinical and technical questions in cardiac imaging with a focus on intracardiac echocardiography (ICE).
- Supporting preoperative planning and intraprocedural imaging.
- Working closely with interventional cardiologists, electrophysiologists, and imaging specialists to optimise clinical workflows.
- Serving as an interface to internal departments such as Clinical Studies, Sales, Customer Service, and Tender Management.
- Maintaining CRM/SFDC data and preparing sales and revenue forecasts.
- Managing consignment stocks and ensuring product availability.
YOUR PROFILE
- Completed university degree in natural sciences, biomedicine, healthcare, engineering, or a comparable technical field.
- Several years of professional experience in the medical technology industry.
- Proven experience in supporting interventional cardiology procedures.
- Solid experience collaborating with interventional cardiologists.
- Experience with cardiac occluder procedures for left atrial appendage closure.
- Experience supporting procedures in the catheter lab and/or hybrid operating theatre.
- Knowledge of cardiac imaging processes, including preoperative planning and intraprocedural imaging.
- Experience working with electrophysiologists and electrophysiology programmes is an advantage.
- Experience with intracardiac echocardiography (ICE) is an advantage.
- Strong sales, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong competence in account management and business development.
- Ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships.
- Strategic thinking as well as market and competitor orientation.
- High degree of independence and sense of responsibility.
- Excellent communication and training skills.
- Confident use of CRM systems and sales processes.
- Fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken.
