Role:

On behalf of a client, we are looking for an experienced structural engineer for the project management of structural design for demanding building projects. You will develop and dimension steel and reinforced concrete structures for residential, industrial, and commercial buildings and additionally handle geotechnical issues related to excavations, foundations, and underpinning. As a project manager, you will take on the technical leadership of interdisciplinary planning teams and actively contribute your experience to the development of economical and structurally convincing solutions. Furthermore, you will maintain existing client relationships and participate in the acquisition of new projects.

Responsibilities:

• Independent project management of structural projects in residential, industrial, and commercial construction

• Development of structural concepts in steel and reinforced concrete construction considering architectural requirements

• Execution and coordination of structural calculations, dimensioning, and structural verifications

• Handling of geotechnical tasks such as excavations, foundations, and underpinning

• Development of solutions for shallow and deep foundations as well as excavation support

• Leadership and coordination of engineers, designers, and other project participants

• Interdisciplinary coordination with architecture, building services, geotechnics, and other specialist planners

• Support of project, tender, and execution planning through the relevant SIA phases

• Preparation of technical reports, calculation documentation, and decision-making bases

• Technical supervision of execution including site inspections and approvals

• Maintenance and further development of existing client and customer relationships

• Participation in acquisition, offers, and development of new project mandates

Qualifications:

• Completed studies as a structural engineer ETH/FH or equivalent higher education

• Several years of professional experience in structural design and project management in building construction

• Solid knowledge in structural analysis as well as steel and reinforced concrete construction

• Knowledge in geotechnics, excavations, foundations, and underpinning is an advantage

• Good understanding of the integration of structures into architectural and interdisciplinary planning concepts

• Confident use of modern structural, calculation, and planning software as well as knowledge of relevant SIA standards

• Fluent German skills in spoken and written form
