Department Head Economics and Public Affairs (100%)
In this versatile role, you combine economic analysis with political advocacy and contribute to presenting the positions of HEV Switzerland in a well-founded and convincing manner.
Your tasks
You monitor and analyse political proposals, parliamentary deliberations, and legislative developments at the federal level. In doing so, you particularly assess their impact on home and property ownership as well as the real estate and mortgage markets.
You analyse economic developments, studies, and statistics and prepare the findings as a basis for the association’s political work and communication.
You develop position papers, argumentation frameworks, and statements on political matters and legislative proposals and represent the concerns of HEV Switzerland externally.
You write specialist articles for our association magazine "Der Schweizerische Hauseigentümer" as well as other publications.
You prepare presentations and speeches, act as a speaker at events/training sessions, and respond to professional enquiries from members and third parties.
You are responsible for the annual real estate market survey and project management for the preparation of the HEV Switzerland annual report.
You participate in the core team of national voting campaigns as needed and support the management as a professional sparring partner on political and economic issues.
You contribute to internal and external working and expert groups and independently manage projects within your area of responsibility.
Your profile
You hold a university degree in economics. You have an interest in Swiss politics, economics, and advocacy. Experience in economic analysis, public affairs, administration, or association work is advantageous. You can quickly grasp complex contexts, assess them thoroughly, and communicate them clearly. You write precisely and with style and argue convincingly. Initiative, an independent and reliable working style characterise you. You enjoy working in a team, present yourself confidently to a wide range of contacts, and maintain an overview even during busy periods.
