Assistant Physician in Training - Urology

at the Regional Hospital of Bellinzona and Valli

Profile:

The person occupying this position must work independently, ensuring adequate care for outpatient and inpatient urological patients in the urology department; collaborate with surgeons for weekend medical on-call duties and assist the urologist in surgeries requiring assistance.

The ORBV urology service, integrated into the EOC urology service, holds a training status B, performs about 900 admissions per year, has a DaVinci Robot, a urodynamics unit, and the most up-to-date instruments for basic endoscopic surgery and upper urinary tract surgery. The urology outpatient clinic is also equipped with all the equipment for basic diagnostics. It holds the status of a training clinic B.

Necessary requirements:

• Degree/diploma in medicine and surgery; for doctors with foreign qualifications, recognition by the Federal Commission for Medical Professions MEBEKO and registration with MedReg are mandatory before starting the activity.
• Proven knowledge of the Italian language (required level at least B2) with registration to MedReg before starting the activity. Knowledge of other national languages and English is desirable.
• Initiative; strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Organizational skills and predisposition for interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Flexibility and a positive attitude, enjoyment of working in a team and collaborating across departments.
