Your tasks

• You ensure the reliable operation of Linux systems throughout the entire lifecycle, from installation and configuration through patching and upgrades to replacement
• You analyse, develop and implement demanding and important IT operations projects in the Linux, infrastructure and application environment – sometimes as part of the team and sometimes independently
• As 2nd level support, you monitor the Linux servers, network components (virtual and physical) and applications you deploy, conduct fault analyses, maintain and document (within reasonable limits) the system landscape
• You automate recurring operational and administrative tasks, especially with Ansible and shell scripting
• You operate and optimise Linux infrastructures including filesystems, storage connections and system resources
• As part of operations, you ensure IT security through hardening, patch management and vulnerability remediation
• You monitor and manage several key suppliers for services in the Linux and infrastructure area and selected applications
• You coordinate content-wise with other operations colleagues in our SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) processes and ceremonies and become an important part of our Agile Release Trains

You bring with you

• Completed training as an IT specialist in platform development (EFZ) or equivalent qualification
• At least 2 years of experience with Windows and Linux servers, data networks and IT infrastructure
• Experience in application management of various applications
• Good knowledge of network technologies such as TCP/IP, VLAN and DHCP is a given for you. Practical experience with DNS, VPN, ports and network drives
• Ideally experience in collaboration with agile development and basic knowledge of DevOps methodologies
• Initial experience in using AI and openness to using AI to make your daily work significantly more efficient
• Experience with Powershell and Azure CLI is an advantage
• Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting and performance analysis of Linux systems
• Knowledge in the area of storage, filesystems, LVM as well as backup and restore
