The State Archive of the Canton of Zurich is the central archive of the Canton of Zurich and its historical legal predecessors, with archive holdings spanning 1150 years. It preserves original documents from the Cantonal Council, the government, the cantonal central and district administrations, as well as the cantonal courts, notaries, and independent public-law institutions, and makes them accessible to the public.
We are looking for a committed individual as Technical Head of Building Services and Safety Officer 100% starting 1 May 2027 or by arrangement.
Your Tasks
- Planning, coordination and execution of maintenance work on technical systems as well as ensuring their proper operation, external contacts
- Organisation and coordination of caretaking work as well as participation in operational day-to-day business (maintenance and repair work)
- Supervision and monitoring of security systems (burglary, fire, water, etc.)
- Assuming the role of safety officer and conducting safety training
- Creating and updating safety-relevant instructions and directives
Your Profile
- Completed vocational training with a Federal VET Diploma, preferably in building technology (heating, ventilation, air conditioning, building automation, electrical engineering) or a related technical or craft profession
- Further training as a caretaker with a federal certificate of competence or a comparable qualification in caretaking or facility management
- Several years of solid professional experience in a comparable role
- Driving licence category B; forklift licence and training as a safety officer are advantageous
- Team-oriented, flexible and responsible personality with strong organisational skills
- Independent, reliable and solution-oriented working style, good user knowledge of Microsoft 365
- Very good German language skills, spoken and written
