For this purpose, the Data Protection Officer acts as an independent supervisory authority. It supervises the data processing of the cantonal administration, the municipalities and the other authorities and public institutions in the Canton of Zurich. Together with its team, it advises public bodies, conducts inspections and informs the public about data protection issues and topics related to privacy protection.
For our legal team, we are looking for a legal intern starting 1 September 2026 or by arrangement, limited to one year.
Your tasks
You advise public bodies and private individuals, assess data protection-relevant ordinances, projects and notifications, create publications (web articles) and participate in topic-specific projects. You independently carry out legal clarifications in various areas of law and are the contact person within the supervisory authority for a specific thematic area (e.g. video surveillance).
What you bring
You have a completed university degree in law and are interested in data protection, computer science and information security. You feel comfortable in public law and are fascinated by digitalisation topics. You enjoy working in an interdisciplinary environment, are communicative, service-oriented and responsible.
