Intercultural Interpreters
For on-site interpreting, the interpreting service Comprendi is looking
immediately or by arrangement for the language
UKRAINIAN and SOMALI
They form a language bridge with the necessary cultural and social background in communication between migrants and public authorities in the health, social, and education sectors in the canton of Bern.
As intercultural interpreters, you are responsible for ensuring correct and complete interpretation between conversation partners of different origins. You pay attention to cultural, ethical, and social backgrounds with the goal of enabling communication and equal access to services.
- Your mother tongue is Somali or Ukrainian.
- You are at least 25 years old
- You have very good German skills (level C1, at least level B2 of the European reference framework)
- You have completed vocational training and have a good general education
- Ideally, you already have experience in oral interpreting
- You hold the INTERPRET certificate or are interested in obtaining it
- You live in the canton of Bern and have access to the internet / email and have a mobile phone and PC/laptop
- Your strengths include responsibility, reliability, punctuality, flexibility, discretion, and good administrative skills
