Do you want to take on leadership and actively shape nursing at the same time? Then you are exactly right at the University Psychiatric Centre (UPZ) Bern at the Münsingen site. On our Dementia and Delirium ward of the Clinic for Geriatric Psychiatry and Psychotherapy, we support people aged 65 and over in challenging life situations. As ward manager, you lead a committed nursing team, set impulses for contemporary nursing, and have the necessary scope for design to make a difference together with your team. Your tasks
- You take on the professional, personnel and organisational management of the ward and specifically develop your team
- Together with your team, you ensure professional, patient-centred and high-quality nursing
- You organise the daily ward routine and are responsible for needs-based personnel planning
- You further develop nursing procedures and processes and consistently implement quality standards
- You work closely with the medical service, therapeutic specialist departments and other interprofessional professional groups
- You accompany and promote your employees in their professional and personal development and create a appreciative team culture
- You contribute your ideas and actively shape the further development of the ward and geriatric psychiatry
Your profile
- You have a diploma as a nursing specialist HF / FH or an equivalent qualification
- You bring leadership experience and ideally a management qualification or are motivated to complete one
- You have professional experience in psychiatry, ideally in geriatric psychiatry as well as in supporting people with dementia and delirium
- You have a modern understanding of nursing and implement situation- and patient-appropriate nursing in a process-oriented and interprofessional manner
- You are empathetic, patient and communicate clearly and appreciatively
- You enjoy working in a team, take responsibility and keep an overview even in demanding situations
- You have good IT user skills and are confident in using common Office programmes
- You speak and write German fluently and correctly
