The School of Design Zurich, with around 1300 students in basic education, 48 students in the preparatory design course, 1000 participants in advanced vocational training programs as well as in career-oriented continuing education, about 150 teachers and 31 staff members, is one of the most interesting vocational schools in the canton: the competence center for design, communication, media production, painting, and varnishing.
Your tasks
We are looking for an engaged, thoughtful, and service-oriented personality to strengthen our team immediately or by arrangement. In the versatile hub function, you support our office team and the service management with a wide range of tasks around demanding space planning, project work, and administrative processes. You think along, take responsibility, and work closely with internal and external stakeholders. You take on central administrative tasks in the areas of ordering, parking management, access management, infrastructure, and security. As a contact person for room reservations, you coordinate infrastructural concerns together with internal departments such as IT, building services, or area-specific working groups. In the area of basic and continuing education, you manage the organizational handling of remedial teaching offers, are the contact point for lecturers, and support the school start by creating ID cards for new students. You actively contribute to project work – for example, in the digitization of processes, the implementation of safety measures, or logistical challenges such as moves or procurements. As requirements are constantly changing, you also take on new tasks flexibly and with a solution-oriented approach. Administrative tasks, telephone service, and occasional counter presence complete your versatile activity profile. As an important link in everyday school life, you contribute significantly to smooth operations with your reliable and service-oriented way of working.
Your profile
- Commercial basic training EFZ and several years of professional experience, ideally in the public or school environment
- Very confident handling of MS Office
- High affinity for the described areas of responsibility
- Excellent oral and written German skills
- Precise, independent, careful, and reliable way of working
- Strong organizational skills
- Resilience, even with several parallel tasks
- Openness to changes and new digital solutions
- Team spirit and collegiality in everyday life
