About the job
For our team in the Cleaning Team, we are looking for a humorous, flexible, and motivated specialist for dishwashing starting June 1, 2026, or by arrangement.
With us, you will have the opportunity to perform your work in a unique environment and at a modern workplace. In doing so, you support the integration of people with disabilities into the labor market.
The St. Jakob Foundation in Zurich offers around 450 people with disabilities protected workplaces and day structures. The employees are guided at work by 150 specialists.
These are your main tasks
- Responsibility for the dishwashing area of the food manufactory (cleaning of dishes, baking trays, work utensils, and machines)
- Guiding employees and trainees in the dishwashing area and distributing tasks
- Supplying the washed goods to the various areas
- Compliance with hygiene and safety regulations
Additionally, the following tasks may arise
- Cleaning the floors in production and storage rooms - daily
- Cleaning the waste room - daily
- Cleaning the WC facilities in the food manufactory - twice daily
- Operation and maintenance of cleaning machines
- Keeping cleaning lists
- Inspection rounds for visual cleaning and re-cleaning if necessary
- Compliance with hygiene regulations (HACCP)
You bring with you
- Experience in gastronomy desired
- Quick comprehension
- You are an entrepreneurial thinking and loyal person
- Flexibility, resilience, tolerance, and a strong sense of order and cleanliness
- Teamwork skills as well as high social competence, empathy, and motivation
- Very good oral and written German skills
- Impeccable reputation
Working hours are between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. We operate 365 days a year with occasional weekend shifts.
