About the job
Water under control. Technology in use. For Stäfa.
You enjoy working outdoors, like to get stuck in, and want to ensure that clean drinking water flows reliably in Stäfa at all times? Then this role could be just right for you.
At the Stäfa municipal utilities, we reliably supply around 15,000 people with electricity and water – and help shape the energy future of our region with offerings around photovoltaics, electromobility, and energy efficiency.
For our Water team, we are looking for a skilled craftsman who takes responsibility, works reliably, and enjoys working together with others.
Here you can make a difference
As a pipeline network technician, you ensure as part of a team that our pipeline network functions reliably and our water supply remains secure.
Your range of tasks is varied
- You build, operate, and maintain our pipeline network
- You carry out flushing programmes professionally and take care of the maintenance of hydrants and valves
- You assist with maintenance and repair work in the water supply as well as with reservoir inspections
- You participate in the monthly drinking water sampling and the annual reservoir cleanings
- You share on-call duties with the team and help ensure round-the-clock supply security
What is important to us: You work carefully, think ahead, and can rely on your colleagues – just as your colleagues can rely on you. Initiative and a responsible approach to our facilities are central to us.
Does this suit you?
You enjoy practical work, like working outdoors, and keep a cool head even when something unexpected happens. You are reliable, team-oriented, and appreciate contact with people.
What you ideally bring with you:
- A completed vocational training, e.g. as a sanitary installer, pipeline builder, construction practitioner, or in a related profession
- Enjoyment of working outdoors and with water technology systems
- An independent, reliable, and committed working style
- Good German language skills, spoken and written
- Driving licence category B; category BE is an advantage
- Willingness to do on-call duty
If you already have experience in water supply or pipeline construction, even better. If not, this is not a disqualifier – what matters to us is your craftsmanship and motivation.
And what do we offer?
