Welcome to the fascinating world of taxes! The cantonal tax office, together with the municipal tax offices, collects taxes for the federal government, the canton, and the municipalities. We support private individuals and companies throughout the entire tax collection process. Around 800 qualified employees are committed to this at the location in Zurich Altstetten.
The municipal audit independently examines the approximately 160 municipal tax offices in the canton of Zurich based on legal requirements. The focus is on the various areas of state taxes as well as the interfaces with the cantonal tax office. In doing so, we support the cantonal tax office in its supervisory responsibility and make an important contribution to quality assurance and the further development of tax processes in the canton of Zurich.
Your tasks:
- Personnel and organisational leadership as well as targeted further development of a team of 3–5 experienced specialists
- Occasional execution of own audits at the municipal tax offices
- Ensuring uniform and high-quality audits in the areas of collection, registers, finance, and assessment
- Development, maintenance, and implementation of risk analyses as well as the audit and inspection plan
- Ensuring quality, deadline, and quantity targets including controlling and reporting
- Professional advice and support for the municipal tax offices
Your profile:
- Commercial basic training (EFZ) or equivalent qualification as well as further training relevant to the function in auditing, leadership, or tax area (e.g. Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), SSK I/II, leadership training)
- Proven experience in personnel management
- Practical experience in auditing and/or good knowledge of tax matters; experience in public administration is an advantage but not a requirement
- Confident German language skills, both spoken and written
- Willingness to travel within the canton of Zurich
