The St. Antonius Retirement and Nursing Home was opened in 1991 in Saas-Grund. It offers elderly people a home where they are accompanied, cared for, and nursed according to their abilities and needs. Our goal is to provide residents with security, integration, joy, and quality of life in old age. The residents are cared for and nursed according to the latest findings in palliative care and the newest insights in gerontology. Another focus is the care of people suffering from dementia.

To strengthen our nursing management team, we are looking for a committed individual as of 1 November 2026 or by arrangement for the position of

Deputy Head of Nursing 80%-100%

In this versatile management role, you will represent the Head of Nursing during their absence and support them in the professional, personnel, and organisational leadership of the nursing service. At the same time, you will take on the overall leadership of a department and work closely with the residential group leaders.

Your profile

• Diploma as a nursing specialist HF/FH or an equivalent qualification recognised in Switzerland
• Several years of professional experience in nursing, preferably in long-term care
• Leadership experience and ideally further training in this area
• Initial knowledge or experience in project management
• Organisational talent, sense of responsibility, and decisiveness
• A clear, appreciative, and solution-oriented leadership style
• Enjoyment of collaboration and the further development of staff and processes
• Practical approach and willingness to pitch in when needed
• Knowledge of RAI is an advantage but not a requirement.

Your tasks

• Deputising for the Head of Nursing
• Supporting the professional, personnel, and organisational management of the nursing service
• Leading and coordinating a department
• Participating in staff deployment and duty planning
• Ensuring and further developing nursing quality
• Accompanying and introducing new staff
• Leading and participating in projects
• Further developing workflows and nursing processes
• Close cooperation with the home management, doctors, and other specialist departments
• Providing occasional support in direct nursing care when required
