About the job
- Be part of the Cross-Border Competence Centre in Zurich and support our clients in complying with foreign regulations and ensuring cross-border compliance
- Advise our clients together with the respective project teams on the Swiss and international financial markets regarding regulatory and financial market law issues as well as compliance topics, especially in the area of cross-border financial services and the distribution of financial instruments
- Support the coordination of local regulatory specialists in over 200 countries to create and continuously update country-specific risk analyses and cross-border manuals taking into account the current legal situation
- Analyse market entry and licensing regulations for the cross-border provision of financial services
- Translate complex legal and regulatory requirements into clear, practical guidelines for front office, legal, compliance and other control functions
- Monitor and analyse legislative changes in the respective jurisdictions and their impact on foreign financial intermediaries
- Assist in drafting and sending newsletters on current topics and developments in the area of cross-border financial services
- Support the administration of internal risk processes as well as customer care from onboarding to invoicing
- Assist the team with market development campaigns, offers, presentations and internal knowledge development
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in law, economics or a comparable field
- Initial professional experience in financial services, banking, legal, compliance, risk or consulting is an advantage
- Strong interest in the financial market, regulatory topics and especially cross-border financial services
- Interest in the cross-border provision of financial services and the distribution of financial instruments to clients domiciled abroad
- Structured, careful and analytical working style as well as enjoyment of research, documentation and project-related collaboration
- Very good German, French and English skills
- Customer-oriented, motivated and eager-to-learn personality with initiative and team spirit
- Organisational talent, flexibility and the ability to keep an overview even with parallel tasks
