In this demanding role, you bear overall operational responsibility and, as a doer and visionary, jointly shape the strategic development of the company with the Board of Directors and Executive Management. You lead according to business management principles and combine the requirements of the public and private market environments. In doing so, you take into account the special framework conditions of a federal-affiliated company as well as political, social, and economic developments. You further develop business models, drive innovation and digitalisation forward, and optimise company processes. At the same time, you promote an inspiring and appreciative corporate culture. Stakeholder management is of central importance: as a mediator and director, you maintain the network, bring together different interests, and create sustainable solutions.
You possess the following competencies:
- Completed university degree in agricultural, environmental, or food sciences, veterinary medicine, or business administration;
- Several years of leadership and management experience, ideally with overall responsibility in an SME;
- Knowledge of the challenges of the Swiss agriculture and food industry as well as an understanding of its value chains;
- You have experience in digitalisation and can translate technological developments into entrepreneurial opportunities.
As a convincing, grounded, and confident leader, you combine entrepreneurial thinking with decisiveness and strong social skills. You communicate appropriately for the audience, have excellent knowledge of one national language, and can communicate confidently in a second national language.
