For our dog day care centre at the Dog Competence Centre St. Gallen we are looking for a committed and reliable
Animal Caretaker EFZ, 60–80%
to strengthen our team.
Every day, very different dogs spend their day with us in our dog day care. Various breeds, characters and needs make our work varied – and at the same time require attention, expertise and a good sense for communication within a dog group.
On our approximately 750 m² site, in our indoor and rest areas, we ensure that our guests can spend a balanced and varied day.
This is what awaits you with us
- Care and professional leadership of our dog group
- Administrative tasks
- Feeding and individual care of the dogs
- Cleaning and maintenance of indoor and outdoor areas
- Independently completing daily tasks
- Exchange within the team and with our clients
This is what we expect from you
You have a completed training as an Animal Caretaker EFZ and feel comfortable dealing with different dog breeds and characters.
Even more important to us is how you work.
We are looking for someone who is reliable and punctual, takes responsibility and sees and completes tasks.
You should be physically resilient and remain calm and confident even when several dogs require your attention at the same time.
A respectful, clear and loving approach to dogs is a matter of course for us. At the same time, you should understand that working in a dog day care centre is not just about cuddling and walks: cleanliness, order and responsibility are just as important.

You can expect varied working days, lots of time outdoors, different dog characters and the opportunity to apply and further develop your expertise practically every day.

We are open to expanding your workload with additional dog-related tasks up to 100%. Depending on your strengths, experience and interests, you can get involved, for example, in our dog school, in puppy and young dog classes or in other suitable offers.
Do you have your own ideas for courses or offers that fit our Dog Competence Centre? All the better. We welcome people who not only work with us but also think along and want to contribute their own skills and ideas.
The additional workload should therefore not simply be "filled" with any tasks. We want to look together at where your strengths lie and how you can develop further with us.
