Senior Linux System Engineer – Datacentre

Your Responsibilities

• Support in the maintenance and further development of our Linux system landscape from RHEL to Debian.
• Active operation and design of our container infrastructure, from stand-alone environments to Kubernetes (k8s).
• Collaboration in the team to optimise and further develop our datacentre infrastructure (VMware vSphere, SAN, backup systems, S3 storage).
• Bringing in expertise and support on exciting infrastructure topics around network (EVPN, VXLAN, L2 & L3) and storage (SAN, NAS).
• Active participation in interdisciplinary projects is a central part of your role.

Your Profile

With a solid basic education as an application developer (EFZ, HF, FH) or ICT system engineer (EFZ, HF, FH), you support demanding IT platforms at a senior level.

• In-depth knowledge of all common Linux distributions.
• Extensive experience with DevOps tools such as Ansible, GitOps and Kubernetes (k8s).
• Specialist knowledge in the area of PAM, as well as PKI-based authentication, which you apply specifically in projects.
• Good knowledge of VMware vSphere, Veeam, Windows and S3 storage.
• You work in a team-oriented manner and actively contribute to interdisciplinary projects and activities.
• Very good communication skills in German and English; knowledge of French is an advantage.
• Monitoring current trends and targeted integration of new technologies into our infrastructure.
