Mechanical Design Engineer
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you play a key role in developing mechanical concepts and products for hearing instruments.
Working in a multidisciplinary team of mechanical, electronics, and acoustics engineers, you contribute across the full product lifecycle — from concept development and design through to approval, industrialization, and post-launch improvements. You also evaluate new technologies and support technical documentation and design deliverables.

- Develop mechanical concepts and designs for hearing instruments and systems
- Ensure manufacturability (DFM) of components and assemblies in collaboration with industrial design
- Create and maintain design documentation, drawings, and technical specifications
- Support industrialization of platform components and collaboration with suppliers and toolmakers
- Contribute to FMEA activities and reliability verification of components and assemblies
- Support post-launch engineering (PLE), including quality issue resolution and continuous improvement of hardware integration\
- Analyse competitive products and support benchmarking activities
- Work in agile, cross-functional R&D teams across development cycles
- Support onboarding of new team members and provide technical guidance
- Contribute to IP creation and related processes
More about your profile
Must-haves
- Apprenticeship in Mechanical Design or Mechanical Engineering degree (HF or equivalent)
- You bring experience in Mechanical Design and Product Development
- Very good knowledge of Mechanical Engineering
Strong experience in design of plastic parts and electromechanical devices
- Established 3D CAD knowledge
- Experience in micro-mechanics (plastics, rubber, metals)
- Strong technical mindset with a structured, solution-oriented approach
- Strong communication skills
- Fluent English; at least intermediate German with willingness to improve
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with plastics technology specialization
- Experience in R&D project work or coordination
- Basic knowledge of medical device regulations
- Experience with Creo and/or Windchill
