We are looking for an initiative, resilient and team-oriented personality with leadership experience as of 1 November 2026 or by arrangement for the position of
Head Caretaker of Municipal Properties (80 - 100 %)
As head caretaker of a team consisting of three other caretakers, three apprentices and sixteen part-time cleaners, you are responsible for the following main tasks:
- Professional and organisational leadership of the caretaking services including personnel management
- Planning, directing and participating in cleaning work on indoor and outdoor facilities including deep cleaning
- Maintenance of the technical infrastructure of the various buildings including the Schwerzi heating network (wood chip heating)
- Area safety officer (BESIBE) for occupational safety and health protection in caretaking
- Practical training of our apprentices (specialist in operational maintenance EFZ, specialising in caretaking)
Your profile
- Completed technical craft apprenticeship and corresponding leadership experience
- Expert knowledge and experience in operational maintenance
- Further training as a caretaker with a federal certificate of competence
- Organisational skills and flair for administrative tasks
- Good PC skills
- Driving licence category B
- Friendly, respectful personality with assertiveness and role model function
- Independent, reliable and service-oriented approach
- Good German language skills, spoken and written
- Willingness to work irregular hours (on-call duty as well as occasional evening / weekend shifts)
- Ideally residence in the immediate vicinity
