School Social Worker Primary School Hausen am Albis 60%Good for life – that is our motto. The Office for Youth and Career Counselling of the Canton of Zurich, branch office for the districts of Affoltern, Dietikon, Horgen, operates a regional school social work office. On behalf of schools, it is responsible for the personnel, professional and administrative management of school social workers. To ensure a low-threshold school social work service, the workplaces are located in the individual school communities.
For the primary school Hausen am Albis, we are looking for a school social worker from 1 January 2027 or by arrangement.
You will advise and support children, young people, parents and teachers in educational and social matters. You are familiar with child protection and child welfare. In crises and conflicts, you conduct interventions in classes and groups. Wherever possible, you also carry out prevention and project work. In addition, you work with the school team and other specialist agencies.
For this role, we require a completed degree in Social Work at university of applied sciences level. Several years of professional experience in school social work or in the socio-educational field with children and young people are desirable. You have skills in counselling, prevention, crisis intervention and project work as well as an independent and interdisciplinary working style.
We offer you a varied, interesting and independent role with annual working hours (compensation for school holidays through increased hours during term time).
