Our client, a consulting firm recognised for its expertise in civil engineering, infrastructure and spatial planning, has been supporting ambitious and sustainable projects in Switzerland and internationally for several decades. To strengthen its dynamic and committed team, we are looking for a:

Head of Civil Engineering Department BUILDINGS for LAUSANNE

Your mission

Reporting to the Management, you take responsibility for the Building Structures department and contribute to its technical, commercial and financial development.

You lead a team of engineers and project managers, supervise major projects and ensure the quality of services, the department’s profitability and client satisfaction.

Your responsibilities

• Manage, support and develop a team of engineers and project managers.
• Supervise the execution of building structure projects, from preliminary design to delivery.
• Ensure compliance with costs, deadlines, quality and SIA standards.
• Develop relationships with clients, architects, general contractors and partners.
• Participate in acquiring new mandates and preparing proposals.
• Ensure financial management and performance of the department.

Your profile

• Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL), University of Applied Sciences (HES) civil engineer or equivalent training.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in building structures.
• Proven experience in team management and complex project management.
• Leadership, commercial sense, entrepreneurial spirit and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Fluent French; English and/or German are an asset.
