Initial Situation

New business brings movement to the company – and that is exactly why reinforcements are being sought. For our client, we are looking for an experienced freight forwarding clerk who is confident in handling air freight shipments in export and knows what matters in the daily Swiss forwarding business.

Tasks

• independent handling of air freight shipments in export
• obtaining and calculating freight rates as well as preparing quotations
• booking freight space with airlines and coordinating pre- and on-carriage
• preparing and checking export and transport documents
• organising dangerous goods and special transports, if required
• monitoring shipments and deadlines and intervening if something does not go according to plan
• supporting and advising customers as well as communicating with international agents and partners

Requirements

• completed training as a freight forwarding clerk
• professional experience in air freight at a Swiss forwarding company – mandatory
• profound knowledge of export processing and procedures in the Swiss air freight market
• independent, reliable and customer-oriented personality

MS Office - good knowledge

Languages

German: spoken and written very good
English: spoken and written good
