Creating perspectives through craftsmanship. As the team leader of the painting workshop, you combine professional craftsmanship with a meaningful mission: you lead the painting workshop and create a practical training and development space for learners with mental impairments. In doing so, you bring training quality, customer requirements and economic efficiency into a sustainable balance.
Your task: balancing training, leadership and economic efficiency
- You bear overall responsibility for the professional, personnel, organisational and economic management of the painting workshop.
- You ensure practical and individual training of learners with mental impairments in accordance with the educational mandate and consistently support their professional and personal development.
- You lead and develop the staff of the painting workshop and ensure a respectful, open team and communication culture.
- You plan, coordinate and monitor internal and external painting orders with regard to quality, deadlines, costs and resource use.
- You are responsible for customer care, acquisition, calculation and order administration from quotation to invoicing.
- You ensure budget compliance, occupational safety, quality and preservation of operating resources and develop processes, services and the painting workshop offering together with the department management.
What you bring with you
- Completed training as a painter EFZ and several years of professional experience, as well as a completed vocational trainer course.
- Project management in painting with a federal specialist certificate or comparable/higher training in the painting trade; master painter is an advantage.
- Several years of experience in leadership, training and support of learners.
- Enjoyment and confidence in working with young people with mental impairments as well as the ability to provide orientation, structure and individual development opportunities.
- A clear, appreciative and pedagogically shaped attitude as well as the ability to combine individual support with the requirements of a professional customer business.
- Entrepreneurial and networked thinking, organisational talent as well as a structured, independent and reliable working style.
- Leadership competence, strong social and communication skills as well as exemplary conduct regarding collaboration and craftsmanship quality.
- Confident use of Microsoft 365; experience with ABACUS is an advantage.
- Very good German language skills in spoken and written form as well as a category B driving licence.
Our claim: Learners should develop professionally and personally, gain stability and build career prospects. A professionally and economically managed painting workshop creates the real and sustainable learning space for this.

- Overall responsibility and scope for shaping the management and further development of the painting workshop
