Arslan GmbH is an established Swiss trading company for Mediterranean food products based in Pratteln. For over 30 years, we have connected products, producers, and customers. At the same time, we are purposefully developing our business – especially in retail and wholesale as well as in category management.

For this development, we are looking for a commercially strong and proactive individual who combines operational purchasing expertise with an interest in sales, customers, and assortment development.

Your tasks

• Customer support
• Receiving and processing telephone and electronic orders
• Creating all relevant documents such as delivery notes, return slips, offers and proforma invoices, invoices
• Managing goods inbound and outbound including documentation and system entry
• Checking prepared goods. Administrative and operational handling of national and international purchase orders
• Coordination of imports, transports, customs clearance, goods receipt and storage
• Monitoring delivery dates, documents, goods movements and outstanding items
• Collaboration with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs partners, warehouse, purchasing and sales
• Participation in building category management for retail and wholesale customers
• Preparation of assortment proposals, offers, presentations, calculations and customer appointments
• Active support and follow-up of customer and sales projects
• Coordination and consistent follow-up of tasks, appointments and next steps.

What you bring with you:

• Commercial basic training or comparable qualification and ideally several years of professional experience
• Experience or good knowledge in purchasing, trade, import/customs clearance or inventory management
• Interest in retail, wholesale, category management and sales
• Confident use of MS Office, ERP systems and digital tools
• Very good German skills; English is important, Turkish and French are advantageous
• Structured, precise and independent working style with a strong sense of responsibility
• Initiative, communication skills, consistent follow-up and enjoyment in driving topics forward.

Your development at Arslan

The role is deliberately designed as a development and build-up position. Initially, you will combine operational purchasing and import tasks with sales and category support. With increasing experience, you can take on more responsibility for customer projects, category topics and sales activities. Depending on your strengths, your role can develop more towards category management, sales retail/wholesale or purchasing.
