About the job
The Ingenbohl Monastery, headquarters of an international community of sisters, is a lively place of encounter and togetherness as well as reflection. With great commitment and high attentiveness, we ensure the well-being of the elderly nuns and external residents at the St. Josef Senior Center. From July 1, 2026, the gastronomy team will take on additional tasks. Therefore, we are immediately looking for a motivated personality as an Employee in Gastronomy 50% at the St. Josef Senior Center.
Breakfast or evening service 5 days / work week (Monday – Sunday)
Tasks
- Serving meals in the dining room and in the residential areas
- Taking into account the preferences of the nuns and guests
- Preparing breakfast buffets and supervising them
- Proper storage of food and materials
- Service in the cafeteria and operating the cash register
- Cleaning of common rooms, communal areas, and sanitary facilities as well as ensuring cleanliness and hygiene
- Creating a pleasant atmosphere for the nuns and guests
- Inventory control and replenishment of food, laundry, and consumables
- Proper storage of food and materials
- Assisting with events
Expectations
- Solid service experience, including in community gastronomy
- Enjoyment in working with elderly people and an open demeanor
- Teamwork skills as well as physical and mental resilience
- High service orientation, sense of cleanliness, and attention to detail
- Flexibility and willingness to work on weekends and holidays – with the aim of ensuring the well-being and satisfaction of the nuns and residents
- High commitment and motivation, even in demanding situations
- Good oral and written German skills
